The purpose of the design work on the object "Multimodal platform in the port of Bazinul, Galati" was to create a container terminal with the possibility of simultaneous acceptance and processing of container ships up to 170 meters long and barge caravans.
The length of the main mooring front is 250 meters and is designed to receive the estimated fleet. The auxiliary berthing front has a length of about 52 meters and is intended for laying tugs of barge caravans.
The cordon part of the terminal is arranged with the possibility of simultaneous and optional use of STS loaders and mobile cranes on pneumatic wheels.
The rear cargo front is equipped with the possibility of simultaneous and optional use of RMG cranes and Reachtakers.
In the rear part of the terminal, a railway cargo front is being set up with the possibility of simultaneous acceptance and processing of two full trains.
The terminal's cargo turnover is expected to be approximately 150,000 TEU per year.
