The concept of the completed design documentation included an increase in the throughput through the existing motorway by increasing the traffic lanes from the existing three to five with the organization of one reverse traffic lane.
With the existing limitations on one side of the existing bank protection structure, the expansion was made to the side from the water area with the organization of the move along the entire length on the expandable part, through the existing crane rail of the Ederer crane.
When developing design solutions, the Customer's requirement to equip an automatic passage control system "OCR" in the future with the installation of part of the structures for this system at the stage of expansion with the supply of engineering networks to these structures was taken into account, which in the future will allow the installation of this system with the implementation of commissioning without stopping the movement through the existing auto-checkpoint.
On the existing roadway with a length of 175 meters, the existing pavement is being dismantled with a FEM tile covering h = 12 cm. The total area of coverage with FEM tiles is 2500 m2.
On the reverse side of the existing crane rail, a part of the PAG-18 coating slabs is being dismantled, followed by the installation of a coating from these slabs on a part of the territory and a partial installation of a monolithic reinforced concrete coating 22 cm thick, due to the arrangement of a crossing over the existing crane rail in one level, while ensuring the organization the slope of the territory is similar to the existing situation at the facility to ensure drainage from the territory.
The terminal's motorway is equipped with a checkpoint in the form of a 40-foot container, traffic lights, video cameras, frames for vehicle monitoring, Wi-Fi access points, lightning protection, fire alarms, energy-saving floodlights and card access gates.
